Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II is coming to Nintendo Switch

As announced during this year’s Star Wars Celebration, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords will be released on the Nintendo Switch on June 8th. The sequel to the iconic KOTOR RPG is expected to have performance and resolution improvements, as well as post-launch DLC called Restored Content.

Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords, a 2004 video game from Obsidian Entertainment, is coming to the Nintendo Switch sooner than expected.

The Xbox game will be released on the portable console on June 8th, according to Disney’s Star Wars Celebration 2022. “Will you follow the light side and preserve the Galaxy, or will you fall to the dark side and bring it all down?” Nintendo teased.

Since their launches, the Knights of the Old Republic games have received a lot of praise for a variety of reasons. The original game is still remembered for one of the most shocking plot shocks in the Star Wars series and video gaming history, including the nature of the playable protagonist’s relationship with Darth Malak. KOTOR II was hailed for introducing Kreia, who was deemed one of video gaming’s finest characters, despite the fact that it was essentially incomplete when it was released.

Despite calls for a continuation of the Old Republic saga, many assumed the Knights of the Old Republic games were doomed after Lucasfilm was acquired by Disney. However, in addition to recent releases to Android, iOS, and now the Nintendo Switch, Knights of the Old Republic is getting a revamp. While there is little information about the film, it is known that voice actress Jennifer Hale will reprise her role as Bastila Shan.

According to reports, the game’s fighting will be more closer to God of War than the previous titles, which forced players to choose from a variety of movements and actions during the battle. Different gameplay modes, akin to the slow-motion options in Final Fantasy VII Remake and Dragon Age: Inquisition, will be included in the future KOTOR remake.

It was also revealed earlier this year that various projects linked to the Old Republic era are now in production. It is presently uncertain who will be working on the new project; however, Bioware, the creators of the original Knights of the Old Republic, will not be involved. It’s also worth noting that this hasn’t been confirmed by the government.

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic ll – The Sith Lords is now available on Google Play and AppStore for $14.99 USD.
