One of the minds behind DOOM, Quake, and Wolfenstein 3D, designer John Romero, announces that his studio is working on a new first-person shooter, being developed in Unreal Engine 5.
Romero’s studio is fully committed to new first-person shooter games and says it is working with a major publisher for the studio’s new game. The team is still growing and looking for new talent for various roles.
Romero Games’ most recent release was the mafia game Empire of Sin, which was released in 2020 by Paradox Interactive. The game was a strategy game set in the 1920s.
Romero Games should be able to attain the greatest level of visuals and sound accessible in gaming today thanks to the utilization of Unreal Engine 5. Unreal Engine 5, Epic Games’ latest and most user-friendly version of production tools, has fast become the tool behind some of the most anticipated games on the horizon, including The Witcher 4, the next Tomb Raider, and The Matrix Awakens, and Kingdom Hearts 4.
